About AST
- Academy for Sterilization Technologies(AST) located inside the AMTZ campus, Visakhapatnam, is a registered educational institution dedicated to advancing patient safety. Our mission is to reduce Healthcare-Associated-Infections(HAIs) by educating and training the next generation of sterilization professionals.

Mr.Rangarajan S K,63 yrs Comes with 42 years of rich experience in Healthcare having served in Private, Corporate, Defence and Trust hospitals in India and abroad holding various Technical as well as Senior management Positions.
He has also been a Faculty for BSc Nursing college affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University for the 1st,2nd,3rd & 4th year students. He did his Post Graduate Training in CSSD/TSSU Management & Techniques from Cambridge Military Hospital, UK. After Graduating in Science from Bombay University.
He also holds a Six Sigma in Healthcare & also completed a Certificate Course in Hospital Management from Govt.of India. He is a Qualified NABH Principal Assessor & Niti Aayog Assessor for District Hospitals as well as a CAHO Endosafe & ACE Auditor. He has been elected as an Executive Board Member in the Hospital Infection Society of India for the period 2025-2028. He is a CAHO Research guide and mentor as well.
